"trivago: water for all": help us to help others!

As you know, trivago is always on the go, and with the start of the new season, we present the latest news: "trivago water for all"!

From 30th September until 31st October, for each new "like" of our new official fan page, trivago will donate $1 to "Charity: Water": a non-profit organization that supplies clean water to developing countries.

This association, in just 5 years, has already helped to complete many projects that have guaranteed over 2 million people access to clean, safe water.

The fundraising process is very straight forward and reliable. In fact, "Charity: Water" uses the internet as a form of communication, with its work documented by videos, photos and GPS, and 100% of the donations will go directly to the partners on the ground. This efficiency has even been mentioned by Barack Obama, in his official speech at the National Prayer Breakfast last February.

Did you know that over one billion people don´t have access to this vital resource?
In the words of the Charity: Water motto: "Water changes everything".

Health-Care: Dirty water and unhygienic conditions are a major cause of diseases such as dysentery
Food supply: It is indispensable for the irrigation of fields and cultivation
Emancipation: A well close to the village would mean independence for women, no longer forced to walk hours to find water but free to attend school and receive education.

Owing to its importance, which is often underestimated, trivago has decided to make a contribution to this charity, in support of building a village well, which will help more than 250 men, women and children.

However, we need you! Simply click "like" on the trivago fan page to help us reach our goal. If you've already “liked” us and believe that even a small gesture can make a difference, help us by word of mouth! Just invite your friends or share the “water for all” logo on your. It’s just a single click but it can make a big difference!
